Cheryl, Charlie and family, I loved Richie like a brother and looked up to him as a role model. He was so kind and gentle, I wished I could be like him. Our times playing music together, along with you, Charlie, were some of the best, longest lasting memories I have and I'll always cherish them. I'm so sorry I can't be with you at this time, having just moved to Vermont. Please know that I'm there in spirit with all my heart.
