Condolence: Jerry and I grew up on the streets of East Camden. He on the corner house of 24th and Carmen and me right around the block at 2631 Carmen Street.

He and Keith Rose were always at our home visiting and we shared much of our lives over the years spanning the late 1950's, 60's 70's, 80's, etc.

We all hung out on the corner at Kogan's Drug Store and more so at the Holly Diner both located on Federal Street in East Camden. We all attended Woodrow Wilson HS.

Jerry dated my sister Diane for a few years and wrote to her while stationed abroad in the Navy. Jerry and his father would play guitar and I would often sing to accompany the tunes.

In Camden we all had nick names and we all called Jerry the "Rodent" due to his last name. I was Beetle, Jim Devenny was the "Giant Head ", Jerry Molineaux was the "Buzzard", etc. What fun we had and none of this was offensive at all.

In the 1970's when my first marriage broke up Jerry and I lived together for a brief time and later, while he was on the Philadelphia Police force, we often got together to catch up.

Unfortunately as life goes, we lost touch for many years but we did get together for a one night reunion about 5/6 years ago just before he moved to PA.

All the condolences I have read about Jerry's warm and giving ways are 100% on target. He was a very unselfish and caring human being and the world will certainly be a less welcoming place without him.

I extend my deepest condolences to his family and friends and I hope all the wonderful memories of Jerry will help to sustain you through this time of grief.

Condolence: My heart is broke and my eyes are full of tears. I loved this man like I've known him my whole life! I only had the privilege to personally know this man since last September, but in such short time he impacted me for a life time. I work for a coffee shop right down the street from him where he would come in everyday for a small cup of our dark roast. He always had the positivity of someone who just won the lottery..its just how he lived his life. Everyday was the best day of his life and he lived that way. It comes in waves that you are gone, I'm expecting you to walk through the coffee shop doors to tell me good morning. I love you my friend and will miss you everyday, thank you for letting me call you my grandpa when I have no family up here. Thank you for showing me how to truly live life. Rest in peace to one the of the greatest people i have ever met.

Condolence: Jerome has left us changed...changed so much for the better, of course. Right now, I'm still shedding tears as I pass by the store, but soon I'll be smiling and remembering how you've touched all our lives. I'll always see you out front displaying chairs, furniture, and your beaming face; and then I'll see you hauling them all back inside at the end of the day...and not because you were making a living. You were giving so we could live better lives. Love you forever, Mr. Mayor.

Condolence: After reading a condolence from Pam Clifford I see a good starting point for my story of Jerome. First off I have to call him Jerry. When I was a year old his mother died. He came to live with us. Keith, Joann, and myself. I don't remember that, but I do remember bringing his Navy buddies home on leave. I'm sure Pam's brother was probably one of them. I remember his beaming smile, so I get the "Monkeyface" thing. I remember wearing a pair of his old navy pants to school when I was about ten. All the kids laughed. A year later Bell Bottoms were all the rage. I remember him playing his electric guitar. I remember him bringing me LP's from Columbia. Simon and Garfunkel Wednesday Morning 3am and Beatles Rubber Soul in particular. I remember the respect that he had for my Mother, probably more then her own children. I get that other people got that respect too. Glad to see it was returned to him by the people who came in contact with him. Jerry(Jerome) you truly were "My Brother from another Mother". Speaking for all your cousins, we are devastated and saddened, but will remain in our hearts till we all meet up on the other side.

Condolence: Throughout our lives we wear many hats. Our Jerome was no different than the rest of us except he wore one hat in particular - a lot, an awful lot. His kindness hat. And throughout our lives we wear many faces. Again, our Jerome was no different than the rest of us except he wore one face in particular - a lot, an awful lot. His friendly face. ... I am truly envious of heaven right now though they say 'this too shall pass' 'all in good time' long befoe my broken heart. ... Rest in peace, my friend, thank you for MY freedom and YOUR friendship '''
