Condolence: To the Kelly family. On Wednesday, it will be a year since our beloved Kevin was sent to the Lord. I’ll be remembering my good friend “KEVO” on that day. It was my pleasure being called his friend. God bless the Kelly family.

Condolence: I knew Father Kelly when he was a fellow employee at Fischer and Porter. We didn't know each other well, but he went out of his way to offer me help during a particularly painful episode.

Condolence: I met Father Kelly very shortly after he was ordained. I had requested the Last Rites or the Anointing of the Sick as it is now known. I was Father's first anointing and he was visibly shaken to learn that I had cancer. I thought he was upset because I was young but, as he began to tell me a story, I think he felt that I was his first anointing as a message from God. He told me how his mother died from cancer and for a long time he was very angry with God. If memory serves me correctly, I think he even was away from the church for a while. But eventually he made his way back and decided to become a priest and he said he had never been happier. He was so very kind and consoling to me that day when I was so terribly afraid; I will never forget him and I will always be grateful. I wrote him a thank you note telling him what a wonderful priest I thought he was going to be and how I knew he would provide comfort to so many just as he had to me. Reading the previous notes it is obvious this was true. He was a wonderful example of Jesus walking among us and I don't understand why he was taken so soon. But I am sure the gates of heaven opened wide to welcome him home. Rest in peace, Father Kevin...this world and I will surely miss you. I offer my most sincere condolences to Father's family and friends.

I loved to listen to his stories and how he ended his homilies with "Just something to think about" God bless you all. The world truly was robbed of a wonderful man. God Bless the Kelly family . Condolence: What a wonderful Priest!
Fr. Kelly was asked to come to my home to give my Mother Last Rites. He had never met my Mother up to that point. As I opened the front door or welcome him in, I saw that he had tears in his eyes. He came right over to my Mother's bed in the living room and knelt down beside her. He gave her Absolution and the Last Rites and then gently told her that his own Mother was already in Heaven and he had asked her to "show you around". I can't recall ever being so moved by something as this had. He was a sincere, faithful, wonderful man and Priest. Father Kelly, may you Rest in Peace. I have asked my Mom to greet you!

Condolence: I am a member of the Finance and Pastoral Councils of Corpus Christi Parish. I knew Father Kevin as a humble, hard-working minister, who was eager to describe how he received his call to his vocation later in life.

In an era when we seem to hear only about priests who face personal challenges, Father Kelly was a true story of a man who truly lived his vocation. The world is lesser today without him.
