To me, as a transplant from another country, Eleanor was the essence of South Philly. Italian (of course!), warm, generous, hospitable, a great and authentic Italian cook, with a smile as big and bright and warm as her personality. Her departure from this life will leave a big hole in the lives of many who loved her. Sincere condolences from me and my family to all the Amato family.
