There are individuals in life who are responsible for helping to mold you into the person you are today. As I reflect on my life, I realize that Aunt Connie was always my guiding light. I doubt I will ever come in contact with another person who is as giving and as generous; she always put everyone ahead of herself. As a child, I was fortunate enough to have lived with her and Uncle Danny in the summer months at the Wildwood shore. She worked tirelessly every day providing energy and vigor to the family business. In the two and a half seasons I spent with her, I can never recall a time where she used the words "I" or "me". Every task and every chore embodied doing good for others. Even if Connie had been afforded the time to worry about herself, she was the type of woman to continue to yearn to help others instead. Her constant positivity never faded even in the midst of the busiest and most hectic days. . Aunt Connie’s unconditional kindness and compassion for others never ceased to amaze me to this day. Her love for her family and her friends was contagious; everyone always wanted to be in her company. Aunt Connie’s soul radiated true love and in hard times provided a beacon of light always illuminating the path in the right direction. The time that I have spent with Aunt Connie is priceless and will be cherished forever. She has taught me the meaning of true work ethic and allowed me to understand that success can only come from working hard in whatever you do (and smiling while you do so). The real life lesson that I have learned from Aunt Connie is to help others and give without question. She will always be a part of me giving to others and working hard - ingredients of life that have blessed me with all my success and a wonderful family. I am proud to be able to stand here today and reflect on my better qualities knowing most of them were shaped and molded by the woman I call my aunt. We love you Aunt Connie and will miss you dearly. Thank you for blessing us with your presence; the light from your guidance of kindness will forever be in our souls. Love the Riccardi Family
