Victor, a beloved husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, and esteemed barber, passed away on July 23, leaving behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He was 80 years old.
Born in Bagnoli Irpino, Italy, Victor embarked on a journey to the United States at the age of 15, where he would go on to build a remarkable life. In his youth, he learned the art of barbering in Italy and continued honing his craft in his newfound home. His dedication and passion for hairstyling would shape his future and touch the lives of countless patrons.

Victor's barbershop, "Victor's Hairstyling for Men," located at 16th and Oregon Ave in South Philadelphia, became a local institution for over five decades. Throughout his career, he skillfully styled the hair of generations, earning the admiration of Philadelphia's residents, including numerous sports personalities. His talent transcended borders, and he garnered numerous accolades in Europe for his exceptional work in men's hairstyling.
Beyond his professional success, Victor was known for his warm personality and genuine connection with people. Everywhere he went, he left a lasting impression, and his presence was recognizable to many in the Philadelphia community.

In addition to his dedication to his profession, Victor had a passion for gardening, nurturing a bountiful vegetable garden that was admired by all who saw it. He also shared special moments with friends, crafting wine in his garage for many years. Later in life, he embraced golfing, taking to courses around the world with enthusiasm and joy.
Victor's heart was full of love for his family, and his 60-year marriage to his wife Lorraine (nee Mazzei) was a testament to their enduring commitment to each other. He was a proud father to Maria Pepe, Victor Picariello, and Anthony Picariello, and a cherished grandfather to Christina (Michael) Eadicicco (nee Pepe), Alessandro Pepe, and Santino Picariello. His great-granddaughter, Emily Isabelle Eadicicco, brought him immeasurable joy in his later years. Survived by his four siblings Antonietta Nigro (nee Villecco), Concetta (Ralph) Cella (nee Picariello), Anna Di Paola (nee Picariello), Carolina (Aniello) Nigro (nee Picariello). Predeceased by Lucia Nicastro (nee Villecco), Graziella Nicastro (nee Villecco), Albert ( survived by Madalena) Picariello, Benito ( survived by Rocchina) Picariello.

The world has lost a remarkable man, and Victor will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will live on through the love he shared, the hair he styled, the gardens he tended, and the laughter he brought to countless lives.

Relatives and friends are invited to his VIEWING Friday July 28, 2023 9AM-11AM at Monti- Rago Funeral Home 2531-35 South Broad Street Philadelphia PA 19148 followed by a memorial service at 11AM.
