Obituary for Veronica A. Ruggiero (Polidoro)

Ruggiero (nee Polidoro)
Veronica A. "Ronnie" 75, of Wildwood, New Jersey. Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in her home after a long fought battle with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. She was the dedicated and most loving wife of the late John M., adored and most cherished mother of Veronica (Raymond) Kolmetsky and Jennifer (Shawn) McIntyre. Best loved and most adored Grandmom to Nicholas Pinto, Frank Baldino, Bailey (Corey) Koch and Alex McIntyre (Jack Sandler) and proud Great Grandmom of Olivia Sage. Veronica was the loving daughter of the late Albert Polidoro and the late Veronica (Sanislo) Polidoro; she was also the loving sister of the late Madeline Polidoro and Annabelle Kaufmann. She was a devoted daughter- in- law of the late John Ruggiero and the late Grace Ruggiero, She was the devoted Sister-in-law to Concetta (The late Gordon) Okerstrom, the late Patricia (Anthony) De Mayo, Grace (The late Frank) McBride, Michael (Anna) Ruggiero, Jackie (Jim) O’Keefe and Carol (Al) Pandola. In addition to her children and grandchildren, she is survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Ronnie was born and raised in South Philadelphia where she later built a family and life with her beloved husband. Eventually, the two retired to Wildwood, NJ and created countless memories with their children and grandchildren. She was proud of the accomplishments and the life that she and John built together and would infamously say, “Not too bad for two kids who had nothing.” Being the epitome of beauty, style and poise, Ronnie always took pride in her sense of style. She loved shopping in Center City, Philadelphia especially with her daughters and granddaughters. She was an avid reader, enjoyed the arts, and classic films. She was no stranger to the theater as she frequented shows in New York and Philadelphia. She was always looking for another opportunity to see Jersey Boys on Broadway. Ronnie was happiest when spending time with her grandchildren; she was so proud to be able to welcome her great granddaughter, Olivia, this August. Our hearts are broken, and we will cherish her memory forever. The Ruggiero family invites those close to Ronnie to help us honor her legacy. Relatives and friends are invited to her VIEWING Thursday November 10, 2022 from 8AM-9:30AM followed by her funeral mass at 10AM at The Church of Saint Monica 17th and Ritner Streets.Ent Holy Cross Cemetery.
