RITA HELEN (nee Foti)
The Philadelphion
ladelphia Daily News
August 19, 2019. Wife of the late Ludwig $. Capozzi, Jr. Survived by 2 devoted children Ludwig Capozzi, III (Lisa Rogers) and Barbara Capozzi (Frank Scaramuzza) who were with her when she passed into the AfterLife which she fervently believed in. For the record, we never gave her an ounce of Trouble! A very patriotic American, Rita joined the Navy in her early 20's to volunteer in the WWII war effort, a highly unusual occurrence for a young woman at that time. She went on to attend Pierce College but missed her dream of becoming a Teacher. Her granddaughter Jennifer Scaramuzza-Fisher has done so which always delighted Rita. And of course, the arrival of Miss Avery was the highlight of Rita's later years! Rita was a voracious reader until the end, and she leaves behind THOUSANDS of hard backed books that will be donated in her name. Politics, travel, biographies and real stories about real people were her favorites, there is not one romance novel or "silly" fiction in the lot. Rita was a yummy cook and a great cookie-maker. In the fine tradition of great Italian cooks everywhere, she sadly leaves behind no recipes. Rita was never happier than when she was working hard, outside the home. She especially loved working two places and never missed a single day of work through snow, sleet or sickness. First, at Phila. Family
Court for decades with her wonderful friends there and then at Barbara's real estate office for more than 18 years, with Linda, Helene, Gene and Etna the Cat, who gladly moved in with Rita when she broke her hip last year. Rita was the best worker ever and could always be counted on for precision accuracy in her many tasks of accounting, bookwork and computers. Fluent in Quicken, Excel, and Word, Rita balanced complex checkbooks down to the penny, or called the bank to tell them they were wrong! even up until 95 years of age! Relatives and friends are invited to her VIEWING THURSDAY EVENING 6:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and FRIDAY MORNING 9:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M. at THE MONTI-RAGO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2531-35 S. Broad Street followed by her Funeral Mass at 11:30 A.M. at Holy Spirit Church, 1845 Hartranft Street. Please in lieu of food and flowers, donations of any size will be greatly appreciated to "Friends of FDR Park" Beautification, clo Tracey Beck Treasurer, ASHM, 1900 Pattison Ave., Phila., PA 19145. Rita was the unofficial Secretary of the Friends group for many years.

Psalm 91:16 says With long life will I satisfy him and shew him my salvation.
The LORD showed Rita a long and prosperous life with her family. Rita knewthe LORD and I am a witness of that faith as I would gravitate toward Rita when I attended Holy Spirit Church. Rita was always in the first pew on the left.
This beautiful woman was always very kind to my wife Maria and myself. And we will always hold her dear in our hearts
We wish you love and our condolences
May you rest in GODS Peace dear child of GOD

My dear Aunt Rita, I remember the summers at the sea shore, your smile and sense of humor. How you where always interested in what I was doing, as well as my wife and kids. You loved your sisters, and always made time to visit them, even in the later years. Your hand write was beautiful. And you would always send out cards and notes, for birthdays and such, and I loved you for it. Say hello to my mom Lucy, when you get to heaven,

I was Rita’s hairdresser for years. And when Rita stopped driving at a very late age my husband was pleased to be her driver. All our conversations were about books. We had the same taste in books. And once in awhile I would recommend a book she hated. And she didn’t mind telling me it stunk. 😊We loved her no nonsense personality, and valued her opion she will be missed. Rest In Heavenly Peace Rita. Love You. Rita & Bobby Peck.
