It is with great sadness that the family of Rae DiBlasi announces her passing on April 15, 2022 at the age of 87 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gaetano and Angelina (nee Pescatore), her 9 siblings and her loving friend, Pierre Petranich. Rae is survived by many caring nieces and nephews, many of whom are her godchildren. Rae was a life-long resident of South Philadelphia working at the University of Pennsylvania for over 40 years. In her retirement, Rae enjoyed frequent trips to NYC to attend Broadway productions and the annual Feast of San Gennaro, travelling internationally (especially to Italy), was active in the Catholic Church as well as community organizations such as the South Philadelphia Lioness Lions Club and social clubs such as the Red Hat Society. Rae will be missed by her nieces, nephews and friends and forever be loved. Relatives and friends are invited to her VIEWING THURSDAY, APRIL 21, 2022, 9 A.M. at The Church of St. Monica, 17th and Ritner Sts., followd by her Funeral Mass at 10 A.M. Int. Holy Cross Cemetery.
