Obituary for Mildred "Molly" Ricchiuti (DiBlasi)

It is with great sadness that the family of Mildred Ricchiuti (formerly DiBlasi), "Molly", announces her passing on April 9, 2020 at the age of 83 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent, and is survived by her devoted children, Vincent (Lisa), James (Donna), and Paul (Kristin). She is also survived by her greatest joys, her grandchildren, Samantha, Paul Jr. and Alec, and her loving sisters Phyllis (Pat Marino) and Rae DiBlasi and many caring nieces and nephews. She was a life-long resident of South Philadelphia working at the University of Pennsylvania for over 25 years. In her retirement, Molly enjoyed frequent trips to NYC to attend Broadway productions and the annual Feast of San Gennaro, travelling internationally (especially to Italy), was active in the Catholic Church as well as community organizations such as the South Philadelphia Lioness Lions Club and social clubs such as the Red Hat Society but above all, Molly loved spending time with her family. Molly will also be fondly remembered for her excellent baking skills and contagious laugh. Molly will be sorely missed by her family and friends and forever loved. In compliance with current regulations and for the safety and wellbeing of relatives, friends and neighbors, all funeral services will be held privately. Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Society of the Holy Family Jesus, 1341 Montgomery Avenue, Rosemont, PA 19010 and the Enrico DiBlasi Scholarship Fund, Saints John Neumann & Maria Goretti Catholic High School, 1736 S. 10th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19148.
