Karen Colletti-Pacilli, 58, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on October 20, 2019 in Baltimore, MD. Karen was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and grandmother.

Visitation will be at 9:30AM to 11:00AM on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at St. John Vianney Church, 350 Conshohocken State Rd, Gladwyne, PA 19035. A funeral mass will be held at 11:00AM at St. John Vianney Church immediately following the visitation. Interment will be private at the request of the family. Arrangements are by Monti-Rago Funeral.

Karen was born in Santiago, Chile to Paul and Rosaria “Sadie” Colletti (née Pennisi) on March 30, 1961. At two years of age, the family relocated back to Philadelphia, PA where she spent her formative years. She was united in holy matrimony to Ferdinando Pacilli on October 21, 1989 in Philadelphia, PA. This union was blessed with two children and two stepchildren. Karen worked as a Dental Assistant for over thirty years, which inspired her daughter Alessandra to achieve a Doctorate in Dental Surgery. Karen was so selfless and caring, gave great advice, and had a positive outlook on life. Strong work ethic, determination, compassion, and unprejudiced love towards everyone she encountered characterized Karen. These traits are reflected in her son Nico, and her memory will live on through her family. Her love and devotion to her family was unmatched and unyielding, and she will forever be OUR hero.

Karen is preceded in death by her mother and father.

Karen is survived by her husband, Ferdinando Pacilli; her children, Alessandra Bonasso and Nicholas Pacilli; her stepchildren, Rosaria Pacilli and Aurelio Pacilli; her siblings, Paul Colletti, Christopher Colletti, David Colletti, Lisa Colletti-Dowling, and Marc Colletti; her stepsiblings, Gilbert Ramos, Jose Ramos, Charlie Ramos, Alex Ramos, and Elisa Piliero; her stepmother, Elisa Colletti; her mother-in-law, Maria Pacilli; and her granddaughter, Gabriella Bonasso. She is also survived by twenty-eight nieces and nephews.

The family is grateful for the countless phone calls, emails, texts, flowers, meals, visits, and thoughts and prayers. They have been both comforting during this difficult time and have been a reminder of the impact that Karen had on so many others. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Vasculitis Foundation.

Dear Karen ; II will always remember the day I first met you Karen ,in your first visit to Mexico City. Your look was so fresh , so authentic, your lips and beautiful smile made me want to be your friend immediately.
We had a great summer ,we laughed and sang and danced along with nena and her brothers , my sisters and Armando ,we all had the best of times .
I was very sorry to hear from CLAUDIA that you were very sick and I prayed for you , I’m sure you are in a paradise now sending blessings to all your family . I’m sure they all will miss you but hopefully , they will be consoled by your spiritual legacy . With much love to all the family . Tere Romo BORJA

Karen was incredibly kind to me when I was living in Philadelphia. I was in the transition of deciding to attend college in the US or not and while I was there Karen offered me to live with her in her beautiful townhouse which she kept impeccable. I remember her kind gesture to this day. During this time I was also lucky to travel with her to Canada. I can't remember the exact month but it was winter for sure because I had never felt so much cold in my life. We had fun and her generosity and beautiful smile are what I remember most about the trip. I will always miss her but will forever keep her warm, caring heart in my memories.
*(Karen once told me....there is no reason why a person can't grow old without all her dental pieces in good condition. It's interesting I keep this in my mind when I think about my teeth or my children's. You never know how much impact your words can have).
