Gloria was the beloved wife of the late Domenico Lavini. Gloria passed away on September 15, 2023. She was a devoted mother to Bernadette (Bruce) Hammerman and Joseph (Patti) Lavini. Gloria was a loving grandmother to David (Alissa), Christopher, Steven (Jessica), Nicholas, and Anthony, and a cherished great-grandmother to Andrew, Nathan, and Hannah Hammerman. She is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at her viewing on Friday, September 22, 2023, which will be held at St. Monica Church located at 17th and Ritner Sts. from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. Following her viewing, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. at St. Monica Church, Internment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to St. Monica Church at 2422 S. 17th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145, or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Gloria Lavini will be remembered for her love, devotion to her family, and her compassion. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May she rest in peace.
