Gilda M. Sciochetti, nee DeFelice, passed away on September 25, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born and raised in South Philadelphia and lived a life filled with love, devotion, and hard work.
Gilda was the beloved wife of the late Albert Sciochetti and the devoted mother of Stephanie (Ed) Donofrio. She was the loving grandmother of Jessica Donofrio, and her family was the center of her world. Gilda was also the sister of the late Helen D'Argenio, and she held her family close to her heart throughout her life.
For over four decades, Gilda dedicated herself to her work at Cacias Bakery in South Philadelphia. Her commitment and dedication made her a beloved figure in the community, where she became known and loved by many. She touched the lives of countless people with her warm smile, kind heart, and delicious treats.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Gilda's life during her visitation on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Saint Richard's Church, located at 18th and Pollock Street, Philadelphia. A funeral mass will follow at 10:30 AM. The interment will be held privately, allowing the family to find solace together.
