Obituary for Danielle N. Rodier

Danielle N. Rodier

October 15, 1974 – November 24, 2022

Danielle Nicole Rodier passed away unexpectedly on November 24, 2022. She was a brilliant, kind, and caring person who loved her faith, family, and friends.

Danielle grew up in Roslyn, Pennsylvania. She attended Bishop McDevitt High School and received her undergraduate degree from Penn State University. Danielle loved writing, so after college, she held several positions as a writer and editor. She then graduated from Temple University Beasley School of Law, becoming the first person in her family to obtain a graduate degree.

After law school, Danielle moved to Washington, D.C., to pursue a career in policy. She worked as Policy Counsel for Comcast Corporation, served as Policy Advisor in the Obama Administration at the Department of Commerce, and then accepted a position as the Director of Government Relations at Internet2, a nonprofit organization that utilizes technology to benefit research and education in the United States. Given her legal, regulatory, and political skills, she ultimately was promoted to Senior Director and Policy Counsel at Internet2, overseeing the government relations team.

While in DC, Philadelphia was never out of her mind. She missed her family and friends, so she moved back to Philadelphia to reconnect with her loved ones, passionately support all of the Philly sports teams, and explore the many and wonderful food options that Philadelphia had to offer.

Danielle leaves behind her loving mother, Kathryn Krmpotich, step-father, Jim Krmpotich, father, Robert Rodier, brother, Justin Rodier (Michelle), and sister Amanda Rodier (Keith Henson). She also leaves behind three nieces and a nephew, whom she just adored: Sarafina Brisgone, Katerina Rodier, Fiona Henson Rodier, and Hunter Henson Rodier. Finally, Danielle was the proud and loving owner of two cats – Franklin and Patton. A day wouldn’t go by without her sharing her love with these two fluffy creatures.

Relatives and friends are invited to her VISITATION Thursday, December 1, 2022, 9:00AM at Annunciation Blessed Virgin Mary Church, located at 1511 South 10th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19147. Followed by her funeral mass at 10:00AM.

Throughout her adult life, Danielle gave generously to charities and those in need. Two in particular stand out. The first is the World Vision. It is dedicated to helping children in poverty by providing essentials such as clean water, education, and health care. The second is the Stray Cat Relief Fund, which provides medical support and finding homes for stray cats in Philadelphia. In lieu of flowers, if you wish to make a donation in her honor, please go to https://www.worldvision.org or https://straycatrelieffund.org
