Marazzo
Barbara (nee Amato). Age 94. Loving wife of the late Frank Marazzo. Daughter of the late Samuel and Mildred Amato (nee Votta). Mother of Donna Marazzo, Roseann (Jerry) Davis, and Barbara (Joseph) Crawley. Grandmother of Francesca, Ava, and Jerry. Great grandmother of Jerry, Jr. Sister of Mildred (Joseph) Buonodonna, Louise (the late Thomas) Salerno, and the late Anntoinette Minneno. Also survived my many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and God-children. She will also be missed by all of her friends from her Residence at Voorhees.
Barbara was born and lived in South Philly’s Italian market until she married Frank. She graduated from West Catholic Girls School in 1946 where she excelled in her studies as a honor student. After graduating, she took a job at Gimbel’s Department Store until the birth of her children. She then rejoined the workforce as property manager for the Center City Co-op where she managed day to day operations and became close with all of the residents. She had a great sense of humor and was an amazing cook, especially her spaghetti and crabs. Barbara loved traveling, going out to eat, spending time with family, and especially her grand-children, great grand children, and grand-pup Holly.
Relatives and friends are invited to her VISITATION Saturday February 24, 2024 from 1030am to 11am at the Church of St. Richard, 18th and Pollock Sts.. Her funeral mass will follow at 11am. Int. priv.
