Obituary for Anthony J. "Tony" DeLuca

Anthony (Tony) J. DeLuca, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on the eve of his 98th birthday, June 18th, 2022.

Devoted husband of Diane Panza-DeLuca (nee Cocci). Beloved Papa Tone of Louis B. Panza, Jr. and Lori A. Panza. The adored Grampi of Louis V. Panza and Gia C. Panza.

Son of the late Felice DeLuca and Marietta Marone DeLuca. Brother of the late Josephine (Tony) Delia and Sammy (Mary) DeLuca. Predeceased by his son Anthony F. DeLuca. Loving uncle of many nephews, nieces, great nephews, great nieces, and great-great nephews and nieces.

Tony was stationed aboard the USS Lexington in the South Pacific with the United States Navy during World War II. His service began on July 4th, 1942 and he was Honorably Discharged on December 20th, 1945. He was known as Joe Brogan to his shipmates, a nickname he carried with pride throughout his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Wednesday, June 22nd, 2022, from 6-9PM at Monti-Rago Funeral Home 2531-35 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA. 19148. There will be a Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM, the following day, June 23, 2002 at Saint Nicholas of Tolentine Roman Catholic Church located at 1718 South 9th Street Philadelphia, PA. 19148.
