ALFRED F.; May 4, 2019, of Vero Beach, Florida. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (nee DiDio). Devoted father of Michael (Donna) Zappala, Alfred Zappala Jr., and Paul R. Zappala. Loving grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Fred was a Senior Analytical Chemist for SmithKlein for over 29 years and was a proud 4th Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus DeSoto Council #315. Relatives and friends are invited to his VIEWING THURSDAY, MAY 16, 2019, 10 A.M., at The Church of St. Monica, 17th and Ritner Sts., followed by his Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. Int. SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests contributions be made in his memory to Special Olympics Florida – Indian River County, 2455 5th St. SW, Vero Beach, FL 32962.
