My friend Bob

I've been friends with Bob since 4th grade at St. Agnes in Philadelphia. I was friends with his brother Bill and his sisters too, they were just a great family. I waited for Bob to turn 17 so we could enter the Navy together and then we never saw each other because he went to Pearl Harbor and I went to Washington. We played football together, we went down the shore to Wildwood a lot, then he married the love of his life Terry and we didn't see each other as much as I would've liked. They came to my Anniversary party in Narberth and it was so great to see both of them. My Granddaughter Nicolette and I visited him and we went on and on with stories from the past. He was the only friend I could ever talk to at great lengths on the phone with, even the week before he died he called to tell me he moved so we could set up our next visit. That visit will have to be in heaven some day my friend. I will miss you greatly and appreciate all the good times we had. Love to all of his family, Bernie McCabe
