Condolences

Condolence From: Gregory Scafidi Jr.
Condolence: When I was in grade school, I would go downstairs of my house to where Gasper had been taken care of. For plenty of years, we would share mornings together, and I would get to say goodbye to him before I went to school.

Every time I'd travel somewhere an extended period of time, he'd always ask me if I would come back, I would always reply, "Of course, I will always."

I never got to really experience the kind of person he was, as I was too young to know who he was before he had a stroke. Part of me knows now, that even though he loved everyone in his family, there wasn't a single person he loved more than me, His Grandson.

I regret not spending more time with him, but part of me knows now, as I go on in my life, I probably am.

As far as I'm concerned, there wasn't anyone that my family knew who wasn't more respected than Gasper, and sometimes I wish that I got to look at the person inside the casket a little big longer.

I'm sure I'm not the only one.

Condolence From: Father John Cecero, S.J.
Condolence: Grateful and loving memories of cousin Gappie and the many Monday calls with my mom, his Aunt Mary. He spoke to me often of his love for God, and now I am confident that he is enjoying eternal light, happiness, and peace with the Lord. Condolences and love to his family, Cousin John
